Genesee Valley Greenway State Park (15 minutes away) A 90-mile open space corridor that follows the route of the Genesee Valley Canal (1840-1878) and the Pennsylvania Railroad Rochester Branch (1882-1963) from the Erie Canalway Trail in Rochester's Genesee Valley Park to the Village of Cuba in Allegany County.
Boyce Hill State Forest (15 minutes away) Part of the North Country Trail crosses this property. It runs between Route 242 in the west and Jackson Forest Road in the east. The trail passes by the pond at the end of Jackson Road. The Finger Lakes Trail Conference and Foothills Trail Club have adopted this trail and maintain it.

The Haunted Hinsdale House (15 minutes away) The haunted house in Hinsdale, perhaps the most famous haunted house in the area, has all the elements of a good ghost story: a mysterious history, strange sightings, unexplainable events and even an exorcism. Day and night tours are available.
Cuba Lake (15 minutes away) Cuba Lake is located north of the Village of Cuba, in western Allegany County. It is a man-made lake that was created in 1858 as a source of water for the Genesee Valley Canal system. Cuba Lake provides angling for walleye, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike and several species of panfish. Fish habitat in Cuba Lake is provided mainly by beds of aquatic vegetation. Public boating access is provided at the DEC boat launch site off West Shore Road, near the Rawson Creek inlet. A hand launch into the creek itself can accommodate canoes and kayaks. Trailered boats can launch at the main launch, which is equipped with a concrete ramp and floating docks.
